This beautifully appointed Kapoho Bay oceanfront home offers a
totally private tropical experience in a quiet, gated, unique
community. Champagne Cove offers two separate accommodations: the
3-bedroom, 1.5-bath ground-floor portion called the Ohana, and the
3-bedroom, 1.5-bath main house upstairs.

The Ohana opens directly to the huge in-ground pool and adjacent
barbecue area. The main house has views overlooking the pool area to
the ocean. The home is a 3-minute walk to the clear, warm Champagne
Pond and is also located near Kapoho Bay and the ocean for swimming
and snorkeling.

The pool, barbecue area, and garden surroundings are for the
exclusive use of guests at Champagne Cove. The nearby Champagne Pond,
a geothermally heated crystal-clear lagoon, is sheltered from the
surf, provides incredible snorkeling and swimming, and is only a
3-minute walk away. There is also a popular geothermally heated pond
called Ahalanui (the "Hot Pond") about 2 miles away.

Whales can be seen off-shore in season and sea turtles visit year
'round. You will see sunrises as you never imagined, and even though
the sun sets on the other side of the Island, the sky over Kapoho
comes alive with spectacular colors!

Champagne Cove is completely furnished to supply all of your
home-away-from-home needs. There is a fully equipped kitchen in both
units, plus a charcoal barbecue right outside. The home has ceiling
fans, satellite TV, high-speed Internet, phone, and off-street
parking. Sliding glass doors open to the private pool area and a
lovely ocean view.

We're on the Hilo side of the Big Island, about a 25-minute drive
south of Hilo. Normal weather is beautiful all day with the
occasional rain-squall to cool things off, and then it often rains at
night to keep your garden fresh and green. We also enjoy what is
reputed to be the cleanest air on the planet.

We would like to emphasize that there are no traditional white sandy
beaches anywhere near here. There are many safe places to get into
the clear, warm ocean, but remember that this is basically a rocky
coastline.

This really is an awesome place. Kapoho is the warmest, sunniest spot
on the windward side of the island. Here you will experience beauty
and tranquility with a rare taste of lovely "old Hawaii."
